As a data-scientist here, we have some very challenging problems to solve - even if they may look mundane on the surface. We have to be general enough to work for a large and diverse client set, yet specific enough to provide tangible value over more customized models they could build in-house.

People are motivated to try out new ideas and pursue interesting challenges out of curiosity and self-motivation.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
welcoming and inclusive. Very easy to meet people and make friends as a new hire (at least pre-pandemic it was).

Medallia as a company has been performing well under their guidance. Additionally, internal morale seems to be improved under current leadership.

It encourages taking ownership of your work and projects. Assuming you're invested in the final product, there's plenty of opportunity to control the direction of it.

Generally I think they've had pretty good success the last couple years. They seem to be taking a very practical approach and deal with non-ideal situations smoothly.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
As with most tech companies, the stock options, RSU, and ESPP standout more than the salary. In addition to the various offerings, they'v held plenty of information sessions to teach us about the complexities of each.
What makes you most happy at work?
We've been working on better processes and tooling for delivering our features. It's exciting to see that work payoff with a much faster development time. Most of our projects are delivering 4x-8x faster, with less hurdles and dependencies on other teams.
