Most employees are underpaid and overworked. Employees are routinely lied to about promotions and compensation. I have been told that if I want to get paid more, I should leave the company. That doesn't inspire confidence.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people really care about each other.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone really cares about their coworkers and our customers. The team is just fantastic, we really all support each other as best we can!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Compensation isn't really based on anything? My professional experience or business results have no impact on compensation. Promotions are used as carrots and aren't realistic.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Valuing employees. Diversity and inclusion. I have seen a few leadership presentations about diversity and inclusion, but the people presenting are five white men. Practice what you preach!
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There is no challenge, I've been doing the same job for years and it isn't more interesting or challenging. There is no growth in my position or department.
