I hear a lot of nice and meaningful things like we strive for diversity, but in my experience the only people who are given opportunities are extroverted yes people. I'm a little on the quiet side but I work really hard but thats not good enough to move up into management

The way we as employees work together even in our fast paced store like ours. We hype each other up and motivate one another to work hard.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Look for hard working people wanting to move up even if they might be on the quiet side. I know extroverts are more often noticed more but there are other qualities to work with that could benefit Safeway as well
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
They should have better definition of what's expected, and give resources to aid you in your progress instead of telling you that you didn't get the job and done. If I applied for a managers position more than a couple of times I obviously looking for a promotion. Please help me get there.
