Better attitudes. Better understanding that they actually need the employees to help keep their business running

What is the best part about your compensation package?
I get holiday pay which is nice and a raise once a year

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Safeway doesn't like to give raises. Basically, somebody getting hired to today would make the same amount of money I do because of minimum wage...I've been there 5 years

The raises are not merited based off skill or experience it is based solely off of time spent working there.

A particular co-worker never knew the difference between personal conversation and small talk with customers. She used to always make people uncomfortable when she spoke to them.

Store managers and assistants need a comprehensive class, when they are hired, on how to treat and talk to employees

Analyze the labor environment by an outside company- there is no longer the necessary experience in the corporate labor ranks
