Inconsistent hours along with false promises. The culture at Safeway is very much just saying what people want to hear instead of doing the actual job.

Very easy to get through the hiring process, but they will tell you whatever you want to hear to get you to sign up.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Even with the Unions help anyone making Journeyman wages has their hours slashed until profits are met. You would be better off refusing raises and keeping your hours.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
They are non-existent, only around for "walk-throughs" where they just stuff their hands in their pockets and talk to each other about what their going to eat for lunch. Also many have never worked in a grocery store so their experiences are vastly different from real employees.
