There needs to be a way to stop dept mgrs from holding an associate back from accepting an opp in another department. It's very disillusioning to be offered a position, accept the offer, all concerned are pleased, only to have the mgr drag the switch and cause the associate to lose out on the job.

The seemingly genuine interest of the person seeking employ.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The coworkers leaning on each other during the stressful non-stop busyness. There are a couple of managers and leads who are fabulous. Unfortunately it isn't all mgrs thrift the club. That sense of comradery, is such a gift.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop denying associates the opportunity to change depts. To stop rejecting a vacation request that is put in two or months in advance. To bring them to the realization that letting their associates know they have no real value is not a good thing.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
After 14 years at the same club it's a morale killer to be paid the exact same as a new hiree who never held a job before. Being qualified for a job in a different dept, offered the job and have the mgr of current dept not let the associate go to that job. If I was valued they'd want to see me grow
