It isn't perfect, but I often catch myself saying out loud: "I like working for Snap." or "Snap is good to me." I don't know many people who have that relationship with their work.
I am surprised again and again at how good it is here.
They want their employees to be happy.
I like knowing the change is possible.
Flexibility to choose what we need.
My co-worker/friends. I never knew it could be so good.
We have a good mix of professional competence and personal friendliness.
I love the days that I hit my "flow" state--and it is often.
Working on the tasks that brought me to the job in the first place.
My team is always pushing themselves to improve my compensation package, rather than making me beg for better.
I love that the focus in on helping ALICE, and that company profitability is a means to that end.
There is a general acceptance that people are just people. The company expects flexibility, but it delivers flexibility too.
A diversity of ideas is encouraged from top to bottom. I can be my best self without worrying if that is okay with everybody else.
Team members are encouraged to assume the best of everyone. There is very little blame game. We are given enough latitude to innovate without fear.
I like that Snap is proactive in improving compensation. I don't feel I need to beg. I get to spend my work time working, not negotiating.
We are genuine friends who CAN meet up outside of work, but there isn't pressure or expectation to do so. We can be as involved as we care to be.
I admire their transparency with company initiatives, and their willingness to engage in HONEST AND LIVE Q&A sessions. I've seen honest, and I've seen live, but never the two together. Very impressive.
