Fun like I’m hanging with friends
They are fun and great stress relievers.
How do I do well in an interview at Sprint?
Sell yourself
Be honest and not too cocky like a used car salesman. Someone they want to see repressing the company and have at the least a cursory knowledge of the company and phone tech
Be prepared to talk about how you handle customer situations.
How can I improve my chances of being hired at Sprint?
Prior sales or tech experience. Apple experience. Bachelors degrees. Can do attitudes but not coming on too strong.
Don’t waste your time.
Speak Spanish.
What unique perks and benefits does Sprint provide?
Discounts on phones and services.
A great health/vision/Dental plan, employee stock options, 401k options with matching, huge discounts on your own sprint phone plans, reimbursement for travel and expenses and I’ve heard in some cases moving costs
Nothing. There’s literally no benefit to my life for me working at Sprint. If I were to manage the oberweis down the street from my house I’d make more money.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at Sprint?
They are understanding of life's up and down
This is a company for top performers. No room for middle of the pack people here. We are disrupting the industry. Hard chargers only.
Teamwork

Coworkers are fine, but Sprint is extremely resistant to change.
Meetings need to be decision oriented
Better communication

What's the pay like for Engineering roles at Sprint?
Average.
Varies by geographic area a bit. But generally they fall in the average range for each title. I started as a engineer 1 at 54k in 06. They go up from that. Now at 88k as a 3. Some make more or less. Depends on your manager too. Good managers do the paperwork to get good employees better pay.
Who did you meet with during your interview? And how long did it take to hear back from Sprint?
I meant with 2 store managers and 1 assistant managet.
Store manager 1week
How's the leadership on the Engineering team at Sprint?
Decent.
The great thing is most of the leadership i have dealt with were all previously working in the Field as Engineers, so they understand the work required and can really step in and give great advice and direction when needed.
What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at Sprint? How many hours are you working?
Once you are established work is reasonable unless on specific projects. At times I put in 60 hour weeks but normally it's around 40hours.
Everyone I have worked with really enjoys the work and the challenges they present. Of course like any where there are times where the stress is high and the timelines are short. But in the end it all works out. When it's time to take a break and re-focus time is given, but when the deadline is approaching and work is stacked time is expected.
How would you describe your overall experience interviewing at Sprint?
Great
The interview was tense because I really needed the job but after doing the simulation in store with my store manager and the operation specialist I felt a lot more comfortable. The phone interview with my DM was again tense but he asked great questions and made me feel confident
What's the best part of your job at Sprint?
When you close a decent or big sale/corporate or business lines and the customers are nice and talkative and fun and you can help them out while making a solid sale
Closing time when I get to go spend my time doing something I enjoy.

I work with a very diverse crew and have leadership that is very diverse being POC and women in leadership
They’re all special, so you’ve got that going for you.
What's the office layout like at Sprint?
Ethical fun.
We don’t have an office. We have a back room that’s a mess.
do you enjoy being around your coworkers? or is it forced?
Yes\No.
I do enjoy being around my coworkers wish we were more able to have team builders like we used to now that our group has gotten smaller over the years its harder to plan it out
How does your boss handle conflict? Good? Bad?
Ethical manner.
My Manager is great handling conflicts generally leaves small things to individuals to work out but when needed is decisive in getting resolution. On this note I don't think we have ever had an incident that needed to be looked at by HR in the 10 years I have been in the group
is the team ethnically diverse?
mostly Caucasians some latino and Asian co workers; woman manager, director and VP
Very diverse.
Do you see coworkers typically caring about the work they do?
Yes.
Always! I don't see any of our group that doesn't care about their career and how it impacts our company as a whole

Seems like sprint isn't big on integrity or ethics at least on a store level
Low morale, poor communication
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at Sprint?
