The wages are very low compared to the starting pay at any other business within a mile of our store. Our manager is loud. She thinks she's working hard everyday, but she's not doing anything important. There are many days she doesn't even make a sandwich! She doesn't even open the store! Etc.......

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Our regular customers make the day bearable. Outside of work? The coworkers hang out and enjoy each other's company. Inside the doors of our store we just want to do our jobs and get out of there. My store and the management DESPERATELY NEED AN INTERVENTION.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Coming from a former store manager, they all need to stop gossiping and acting like children. They need to get on the same page and treat their employees with human respect and decency. And so much more. I could literally go on and on if there was room......
What are some of the best things about your team?
Most of the people are fantastic! Wonderful great people. The manager and her boss are the worst gossips ever. I'm on here hoping someone sees this because I have no assistance or resources here to get these issues resolved. These grown women are worse than anything I encountered in high school! ...
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Genuine gratefulness and appreciation goes a long way. More money would be nice for those who deserve it. The hard and dedicated workers deserve more pay than the ones who do the bare minimum (if that). Especially when all the nearby restaurants wages start at what we are told we max at! Etc...
What did you like most about the interview process?
There wasn't an interview. I was in buying sandwiches with my kids one day. One mentioned that I worked for subway before. The manager was excited and offered me a job on the spot. It took months of convincing to go back to subway after my 2 year absence. I swore I never would, but I went back...
