U-Haul Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Medical dental vacation personal time team effort

Posted 4 days ago

It was full coverage for the most part.

Posted 10 days ago

Benefits from day one is cool

The amount of pay they give

Having a steady job for 15 years

My Benefit package is good. I wish there was someone that could step in as relief in absenteism in emergency situations.

Payroll arrives on time, without fail.

Payouts and doubling up when we do

U- Haul Provides Many Options for Wellness

The money from stocks and the health benefits.

Retirement at the age of 65

Fair healthcare coverage is available for everyone

Cana-Rx provides name brand prescription medication at no cost!

All of it really i need more hours

The bonuses we get as employees

Health care is free when full time

Free stock. 2 weeks vacation, after 10 years 3 weeks. 2 weeks a year PTO time. Paid medical premiums. Employer donations to HSA accounts along with matched employee donations to HSA. Where i work paid lunch breaks. Nearly all can be done thru app including requests for early pay, pto, vacaton w2s.

Honestly the pay is good and the ability to earn vacation time as well as pto is about it

Getting to spend more time with daughter

It helps me feel good about the future

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My manager only speaks to me if he's unhappy about something. He listens to the wrong people then wonders why he can't keep quality people. He doesn't care about policy, only $.

Getting dental on my own is cheaper than the companies when going through the process with the same vendor. There is no medical insurance, just a limited monetary return for medical needs. The training is lax and there is no review system

Better dental and more options for the workers in the field

Need fulltime always thrown in my face moonlighter cant get benefits

Review from Customer Support Dept

I'd feel better if I had more control over investment of my funds. I'd also feel better if I could afford to have the max invested every paycheck. Which I can not afford so I'm stuck investing very little. I'd also like to see more emails educating me more on finance and how to grow wealth.

Review from Engineering Dept

Make sure employees are treated and spoken to with the same respect you demand employees to treat customer.

Fast food workers make more money then the employees working at the truck rental facilities!

More hours and more money

Its not competitive in todays works and rheres jo chance for growth wkthin the company because they hire outside managers for little or undervalue pay. Binuses arent spread out as supposed to be.

There is no pay transparency. I recently found out I'm underpaid by over $20k & have to negotiate just to get a fair wage for ky position. There needs to be transparency & meeit increasePerformance/merit increases are nonexistent. Benefits are paid by company but charge "fees" for weight & smoking.

More money and benefits plz

Working more then almost every boss. Livable wage would be nice since I work almost 110+ hours a week. Actual bonuses that aren't being stolen by General Managers. If the company isn't going to invest in its employees it should at least invest in its properties

Review from Customer Support Dept

after i win the law suit nothing less then 3ok

Review from Operations Dept

A significant pay raise would make me feel better about my compensation.

Review from Operations Dept

I have not received a raise in my position in 6 years

They use salary positions to justify putting managers in a box and force them to work 80+ hours per week as their recruiting team does not help stores with hiring. Managers are expected to pick up any slack and run each store including covering 7 days a week for weeks on end and they barely train.

Some people do is little as possible and get more hours than me. I never sit down and I do hitch installations and the people that who do not get the same pay as me

Base pay I feel should be increased, this loops back to their whole comission based pay scheme. Honestly, the 13 an hour I recieved was fine, but not for the intense stress they put you under

To avoid high turn overs, maybe compensate better than minimum wage. And don't lie during interview. Less power tripping managers. I work as Sales and Reservations work from home position.

feeling undervalued is an understatement. You are nothing more than name tag to them. You are forced to keep their illegal practices a secret but if something goes wrong your head is the first on the chopping block. Also, The better you do at your job the more likely your weekends will be taken away
