A lot of transition -- consultants know more than employees on my teams. This may be as it should... but a little more direct communication from my leader's leader (s) would keep my morale higher. But I am overall very happy with my opportunity to serve Optum
What did you like most about the interview process?
Transparent. Excellent information flow. Meetings occurred when promised. People were extremely respectful of my time. They made me WANT to join Optum, based on the interview process.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Very high quality professional skills experience and abilities. Very collaborative: this creates a feeling of continuous improvement. Polished. Proud to be their colleague. Learn from them every day.
What makes you most happy at work?
Opp to learn and to serve through the projects I support at OptumServe. I do work I am proud of that makes our nation and world better, healthier and safer.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I think they try to let us know them as people. I appreciate this. We know things about their families, their interests and the small mistakes they make in a day too, and they let us see how they balance priorities and crushes on their time. This makes me feel safer, happier, more motivated
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
My benefits are hard to use where I live because few providers use UHG as it is a lower reimb rate. My dental is not accepted or useful by my provider, who accepts most other insurances. This is frustrating. It costs money to access my benefits. Give me more useful benefits or adjust pay a bit.
