I was one of many companies UHG/Optum acquired. Since day 1 of our integration, it has been nothing but a negative roller coaster. Expensive benefits, significant layoffs, and pay cuts with no justification, oh, and 3 different directors in a matter of 2 years. The most toxic culture.
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
The company is so siloed it is impossible to have meaningful interactions with anyone.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Stop treating people like garbage, stop lying about layoffs and then turning around and buying another company CASH.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The company does not support internal growth or development. I literally sat through a 2 HR. presentation with HR on common language and it was a joke.... no one if going to promote your growth in this company.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I was wrongfully demoted because UHG was not paying me accurately based on their market analysis, so instead of paying me fairly they demoted me, but made sure I kept the same responsibilities. It is cruel and honestly should be illegal to do.
