Overall, I have really enjoyed my time with Volvo. The job is challenging and provides plenty of opportunities for growth. The benefits are excellent, and I feel trusted and respected.
My manager does not micro-manage the department.
They prioritize work life balance.
The amount of vacation days.
We are good at helping each other when needed.
The family health insurance coverage.
We have a talented group with a variety of experience.
A diverse team with different backgrounds and a variety of experience.
With the skill level and talent of our group we can overcome any technical challenge.
We need to make cars that customers want, not make cars that we think they want. What works in Europe does not work in the US.
All work requests should be funneled through our manager since he has the most knowledge of our workloads. Often upper management will bypass the proper channels and send us scrambling with random requests. No one has enough time, and work is not prioritized well.
