Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Wayfair takes pride in paying less. Some entry level designers have multiple jobs because Boston is very expensive and company doesnt believe in paying money. People who are managers and directors do not care about this low pay because everyone's base pay is low, however their bonuses/equity is high

Right way of figuring out where do you naturally fit. People interview for a generic role and interview panel decide where do they fit.
