Is high compensation a part of environment? If so, that.
The quality of engineer I work with is lower than what I have been able to surround myself with in the past.
The total compensation is likely top 10%, if not higher. Monthly vested RSUs is a unique perk and, paired with the ability to autosell outside of trading windows, allows me to access equity compensation in a manner similar to straight cash compensation.
RTO is a major negative as the company has not done much to make it a worthwhile experience. I don't work with anybody in office and concerns/critical feedback get thrown into the trash and we just plow further ahead into an abysmal work experience.
