Uber as a company is just awesome. It is worth every struggle I go through at work that's why I have been with Uber for almost 7 years now. I just wish my working environment could improve so I can have healthier mental health and be more beneficial for the company.

Smart and friendly people who get their work done

The intention to be good to employees is there. But really the attractive pay and benefits are only intended for C-suites, executives, and the engineering organization. Career mobility is abysmal. Pay is significantly below market performance.

Uber has opened up my experience and opportunities in ways I would have never imagined. The company has transformed immensely since I joined years ago. I'm excited to see where it goes next. Beautiful office, friendly staff, great food.

Our Global All Hands do not feel scripted even with the prepared talking points. Dara and ELT are candid about what is happening in the company, and what they see is happening in the industry on a regular basis. It shows that they're intentional and decisive about this iteration of Uber.

Remember that we employees are humans, not robots. It would be nice to have some sincere empathy for the people they manage.

My grad school program and NYC have pay transparency. I knew how much my grad school classmates were paid by the time we graduated. I can also gauge how much my friends are paid based on their rent threshold, which is astronomical in NYC. I know I'm below the mark.

I have sent my job description to a friend at a consulting firm and I am underpaid about $15k off the bat for entry level. With my experience, that brings me to being underpaid by about $24k.

Base salary isn't competitive or reflective of my role and responsibilities

If I can't pay full rent on my own with my bills, then I'm not making a living wage. There are definitely other positions that do just as much as I do and make at least 25/hour. I make less than 20/hr, and can't live on my own with rising costs of living.

They are flexible & always there to help you whenever you need a helping hand.

My manager encourages us to engage with each other. Everyone is a great combo of smart and friendly. There is a lot of camaraderie. Because we're a lean org with little duplicative roles, everyone owns their work and prioritizes well.

We work together collaboratively and work very well together.

Most of them if not all are heartless. I have been experiencing alienation from them ever since I became part of my current team which led to me going through a relapse with my depression. I went to HR but was just given 1 month LWOP but the alienation and unfair treatment fro team lead brushed off.

I love Uber as a company. I agree and support its values, but I cannot see it being done at work.

People here respect the individuals, their culture & religious affiliation that makes you feel comfortable to share your thoughts with broader group.

People own their work and are friendly. People trust that you will get it done. They don't push urgency unless there is an external timeline (like a spike in customer support tickets of a particular type).

My family motivates me to go to work every day and because I love working for Uber. But my working environment makes me drag myself to work.

Every day has a lot of learnings for you. That learning drives you to deliver your best.

our skip-level manager in MENA GLs is always focusing on the negative and what is going wrong but will never call out wins. This is quite demoralizing and emotionally draining. Let's give people flowers when they deserve so and when wrong let’s handle them in a respectful ma
