Approachability, candidness, likable, lead with passion, motivating.

Our Global All Hands do not feel scripted even with the prepared talking points. Dara and ELT are candid about what is happening in the company, and what they see is happening in the industry on a regular basis. It shows that they're intentional and decisive about this iteration of Uber.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

My grad school program and NYC have pay transparency. I knew how much my grad school classmates were paid by the time we graduated. I can also gauge how much my friends are paid based on their rent threshold, which is astronomical in NYC. I know I'm below the mark.

more money and don't tax our food/uber cash benefits

I have sent my job description to a friend at a consulting firm and I am underpaid about $15k off the bat for entry level. With my experience, that brings me to being underpaid by about $24k.

Base salary isn't competitive or reflective of my role and responsibilities

If I can't pay full rent on my own with my bills, then I'm not making a living wage. There are definitely other positions that do just as much as I do and make at least 25/hour. I make less than 20/hr, and can't live on my own with rising costs of living.

My manager encourages us to engage with each other. Everyone is a great combo of smart and friendly. There is a lot of camaraderie. Because we're a lean org with little duplicative roles, everyone owns their work and prioritizes well.

We work together collaboratively and work very well together.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

Most of them if not all are heartless. I have been experiencing alienation from them ever since I became part of my current team which led to me going through a relapse with my depression. I went to HR but was just given 1 month LWOP but the alienation and unfair treatment fro team lead brushed off.

be less ignorant and more goal oriented

start seeing a broader picture, and push more for collaboration and to be less egocentric.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I love Uber as a company. I agree and support its values, but I cannot see it being done at work.

People here respect the individuals, their culture & religious affiliation that makes you feel comfortable to share your thoughts with broader group.

Everyone works hard, does the right thing, friendly, global reach

People own their work and are friendly. People trust that you will get it done. They don't push urgency unless there is an external timeline (like a spike in customer support tickets of a particular type).
