We should diversify and implement new technology. Quantity of work can be excessive. There are no new hires. I appreciate the correct attitude of the company, clean and spacious offices (but not the daily commute). Salary does not grow. Career does not exist.
Salary and not much else
Experience, skills, openness to learn, capacity to work under stress
Humanity, long term stability, capacity to re-learn at some management levels
There is at least formal following the rules and correctness in dealing with employees
Knowledgeable and engaged as specialists, while very human and friendly as people to be around.
They actually do their job. And, they do what they say they do, "walk the talk".
Solving a difficult task in a positive way, so that the customer appreciates ( and hopefully is pleasantly surprised, even). Learning something new, useful in the long term.
Org: Safe, including due to 'Lean but not mean', but also due to respectful and professional relationships, (mostly) clear process. Physical: Office has enough space, is well taken care of. Equipment is good (just monitors need improvement).
Being a data company we really lag behind in using the position to our advantage, maybe already too late. There are arbitrary rules - 'back to office every day'. Salary not growing for years while inflation is rampant. Offices and positions outside the US basically don't matter / exist.
Stock option is sizeable. 5 "sick-days" is good. But, why not also extra vacation based on years of service? Flex home office 3 days is good. BUT-no car, even if company can get ahead via tax. Phone just ok, still thanks! Sending back old computer is strange. Monitors must be better in 2023.
