Vertafore was a wonderful place to work until about 18 months ago. It's been down hill ever since.
Collaborative, care about each other.
Collaborative, hard-working, honest, caring, accountable.
Nothing. Local office is great. Corporate is not.
It was great in the past, but it's fading fast.
Vertafore pays less than market average in every market they're in.
Nothing. They make promises they don't keep and are not as transparent as they claim.
Not sure, management is slowly strangling this company. There doesn't seem to be any vision or direction from management. They are just puppets for the parent company.
Again, things have changed. When I interviewed, it went fairly smoothly, but from what I've heard, it's much harder to interview here now, even though the quality of incoming candidates has gone down.
Need new ownership. New equity owners are just trying to squeeze every dime out they can for profit, but do not appear to be at all interested in making new or interesting products for the marketplace and our existing customers.
Vertafore has always paid a little less than comparable companies in the area. But they offered a collaborative work environment where people really cared about each other, so it balanced out. The new ownership has killed that environment, so now we're just under paid.
Leading - this company was doing well until the parent company (TPG) sold it to Vista/Bain. The new exec team moved it from Bothell, WA to Denver, CO at the cost of losing years of valuable industry experience to cut staff cost. They also need to be more honest, transparent and accountable.
