Overall, this is a good place to work. It's a relatively traditional corporate tech company, and I appreciate the position I have. I wish there was less restructuring and internal change. It would make it easier to progress in my goals and make long-lasting improvements.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
A lot of people seem pleased with the culture and I enjoy being around other happy people.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I am almost completely unrelated to my new team. I don't know them or interact with them on a regular basis. I interact with my manager, who seems eager to help me.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I know I could be making a ton more at a different company in the exact same role. That is disheartening. Raises are almost nonexistent, benefits are the bare minimum for this level of tech company in 2025. Compensation is not competitive in this industry.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Leadership is too focused on gaining more revenue and not investing back into the company and its employees. Leadership is grossly overpayed while actual employees who keep this whole ship afloat are overlooked and walked over. It's not a good spot for a company who brags about their culture.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team does a very good job at putting on a united front, but they are out-of-touch with what their employees need. We quite literally run this company and we're not listened to when we tell them what needs to change. More staff and compensation is needed across the board.
What makes you most happy at work?
When I am equipped with the resources, tools, and teams to do my job effectively. I am lacking in the team department, and as for resources and tools there is a lot of paperwork and bureaucracy surrounding trying new things out. I end up settling for a current tool because it's easier than getting $
