Working at Alkami can be rewarding, challenging, frustrating, and amazing all in the same day. My direct manager is someone I trust and value. My colleagues are great to work with. The organization as a whole seems to buy into our corporate goals and for the most part, rows in the same direction.
What makes you most happy at work?
The sense of accomplishment when we solve a customer problem.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone on my team is willing to help each other. There's a true sense of camaraderie and mutual respect. Working with my colleagues is one of my favorite part of being an Alkamist.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The leadership team does a really good job communicating where we are going as an organization and maintaining a consistent message. They are genuinely invested in the success of the employees as well as our customers.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Everyone that I've met or interacted with at Alkami is invested in making sure we do the right thing for our customers. A lot of organizations talking about putting the customers first, but Alkami truly does it.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I feel my base salary is fair and competitive based on the market. That said, my sales quota increased by almost 35% but my total on-target-earnings remained flat. In other words, I have to close 35% more business to make the same amount of money I did the year before.
