An ELT member reached out to me in 2021. They offered me a position, and the freedom to create a program that others had tried and failed to develop. I did it, but it was cancelled due to an inadequate pricing strategy (IMHO). Since then, I've been trying to find another program to own, to no avail.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
I've been at Alkami for approximately four years, and it's been one of the most rewarding jobs I've had in my career. The only area where I think there is room for improvement is career advancement opportunities. I'm currently talking to my manager about it.
What makes you most happy at work?
When a special project I'm working on bears fruit and everyone starts using the assets I've developed.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The pay is fair, the healthcare benefits are comprehensive and the employee stock purchase plans and bonus options are much appreciated.

Tackling a new project that requires equal parts creativity and teamwork is something that I'm always looking forward to. I love working with my team.

We are a cohesive, cooperative bunch. Our executive leader is the absolute best boss I've ever had: knowledgeable, hard-working, caring clear-eyed and disciplined. It's a joy to work with and for her.

We have a small but very well integrated team; we like each other personally and professionally, we are all easy to work with, and we are always willing to help each other out.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They have been very clear and consistent in articulating their vision for the company over the next five years, which is enormously helpful for our team because it gives us a clear sense of direction and priorities.

They seem to be honest, competent, fair-minded people with a clear long-term growth plan, and they have gone above and beyond to make sure everyone in the company is aligned with the plan and invested in its execution.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The compensation is fair when compared with other similarly-sized companies in our sector, and the overall comp package is balanced. I wish we had more options to invest in company stock, or that they were more generous in rewarding performance with stock options.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
What I appreciate the most is that I am always allowed and even encouraged to look for innovative ways to solve existing problems. I am a very creative person, and knowing that I can explore new tools and workflows is something that keeps me very engaged professionally.

The company seems to have a genuine desire to retain its employees and make sure that they have everything they need to succeed at work. The one thing we are lacking is a clear career development path or tool that we can leverage to plan for our long term professional growth.
