We are expected to endure the 'growing pains' as if most of the pain is not self-inflicted by the leadership team's inability to cross-functionally collaborate and make actual plans that don't change every time the wind blows. It's a whirlwind, stressful, and dilutes a work-life balance.

Alkamists (front-line managers and below) are collaborative, friendly, and genuinely want to do what is best for our customers and teams. There is diversity and willingness to hear different ideas.

My team has diverse strengths and perspectives that allows us to have candid conversations, come up with innovative ideas and efficient ways to execute. This has allowed me to grow professionally.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I know I'm underpaid in my role. I make significant contributions and am viewed as an overachiever in comparison to my peers. I am often seen as expendable, not special, and have been told so directly by key leaders.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The executive team can inspire, motivate, simplify complex messages, and seem relatable. The director and senior management level are the heartbeat of the company and bridge the legacy employees with the new alkamists that have rapidly joined the company as a result of incredible growth.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The SLT prevents progress. They are either 1) legacy Alkamists who were promoted when the company was small and do not have scalable leadership skills or 2) newly brought in by an executive with no industry knowledge and assume they can make decisions like we are a typical SaaS company.
