The non-manager coworkers are just trying their best. I've met some amazing and inspiring people at Apple.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
Bias, discrimination, it's impossible to move up in retail unless you literally fake your whole personality or buddy up with managers
What makes you most happy at work?
My coworkers and slowing down to get to know customers (getting to be a human instead of machine churning people in and out)
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
micromanaging, caring about employees, filing assaults complaints and taking genuine feedback, improve hiring practices, stand behind their employees instead of working them to death.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
all of us in our store, regardless of tenure or position, are all payed within a $5 an hour range, yet we are constantly forced to be in every position in the store for ~$20 per hour.
