This opportunity came up after a 6-year stint with my previous company. Since then, I have had several opportunities to take on projects impacting the scale of operations to our hoteliers. The quality of the work I accomplish is valued and appreciated.

I can have an honest and open conversation with the leadership and my feedback is taken to heart.

Everyone is willing to help their peers succeed. I could not stress this enough. It's a team effort here.
What makes you most happy at work?
My expectations are clear and the room for growth is a path that can be carved out with help from leadership.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I appreciate that they are always looking for ways to improve the company's standing overall by seeking feedback from emloyees at all levels in the organization.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Forward thinking from all the associates is what drives the teams at Choice Hotels toward progress. Collaboration is also necessary for a wide array of interdisciplinary attributes required to execute projects.
What makes you most happy at work?
The flexibility I am offered to maintain a healthy work-life balance. This org stood by me in a time of need, when maybe I wouldn't be offered the same generosity by another company, so I strive to give them back some of that same energy.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Like any other company, the overall compensation package always evolves. Recently, the org changed some of their PTO perks, so we can take well-being days and I feel that was very thoughtful of them to consider. Sometimes, you need an extra day or two that isn't a vacation.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
While they have had to make some difficult choices in the past year, I don't want to overlook what's also on their plate and what it takes to keep a business afloat. That being said, I appreciate their transparent approach to implementing business strategies. No question will go unanswered.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I've always done well in a role as an individual contributor. Some people will agree, and others might not be like that. Many of my peer's job functions don't require that they are constantly engaging with one another. In any case, we are all respectful of each other's time which is important.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The initial hourly wage and the subsequent merit increases have been comfortable to say the least. I left my previous role where I was performing similar durties for the chance at better pay. Time off is fairly generous and replenishes twice in the first year, but then on an annual basis from there.
