They understand their roles and ensure their support teams are aligned.
Review from Operations Dept
They set a clear, ambitious vision and goals, and they are accessible.

Strategic Growth Mindset. Team strives to source accretive financial deals at a reasonable cost. Backing away from WH deal when the cost rose too high was wise. Woodspring acquisition was well planned and is a leader in its space. Noha has utilized celebrities in advertisements amazingly.

Because of independence of each hotel due to every hotel-owned individual, compensation for work depends on negotiation upon hiring
Review from Operations Dept
I definitely feel undervalued. The team I'm on works incredibly hard and do a lot of work that is outside of our job requirements and knowledge. There is no support from the proper teams that is needed. It's a lot of figuring things our on our own with no extra compensation.
Review from Operations Dept
The leadership team doesn't seem to understand what it is that we do, meetings with leadership never mention relatable items. Compensation needs to be reviewed based off of inflation, promotions are internal if there is a right fit, but you are paid more if you leave and come back.
Review from Operations Dept
Lately the company has been doing a better job re-evaluating compensation and making modifications where needed especially within the minority space (race/gender) but I believe there is more opportunity compared to like organizations. We need to take a deeper look at available prescriptions and cost
Review from Operations Dept
Annual merit increases are poor and average around 3%. This increase never seems to match how you performed that year. I've asked for a detailed explanation and no one can ever give one. Choice does not give cost of living adjustments.

We truly are a family.

We have each other's backs
Review from Operations Dept
The team is committed to our goals and supportive of one another. New ideas are welcome and encouraged.
Review from Operations Dept
Incredibly supportive environment where it is a part of our culture to lift up others and succeed together. Choice associates are some of the most dedicated and proud that I have ever worked with. Our associates are the best part about Choice.
Review from Operations Dept
humble, approachable, genuine, caring, supportive, team oriented, do there at best for common goal, friendly
Review from Operations Dept
Team work and communication needs to improve across all departments. Knowing what others do and how we can work closer together. Projects are rolled out without consideration of end users and other teams are left to clean up post facto.
Review from Operations Dept
Wildly Important Goals arent set with team input. Whole premise of a WIG goal is to get input from the team driving that goal prior to the goal being set. Teamwork is poor. Leaders dont lead by example.
Review from Operations Dept
More communication and collaboration. Live the values.
Review from Operations Dept
financial oriented, goal driven, Upper executive eldership invest time to care and listen to employee feedback and take action to improve. Like Mr. Raul takes time for "Lunch with Raul" initiative to listen, answer question, engage and show we are matters and value.

There is a fair work life balance
Review from Operations Dept
This is the best company I've worked for. Leaders set challenging goals, they welcome questions and ideas, and they are supportive and accessible.
Review from Operations Dept
Supportive atmosphere. While silos and protectionism exist, these are the exceptions. For the most part, everyone is excited to tackle problems together and make friends along the way.
Review from Operations Dept
Everyone at Choice is nice. Little negativity or unethical corporate politics. Objectives and ratings are a fair process.
Review from Operations Dept
It is difficult to say exactly when we work virtually. The in person team meetings/trainings are valuable for someone to be inclusive and have the idea exchange is invaluable. That portion cannot be done virtually. The interaction that occurs in those meetings is more of an exchange.

No two days are alike, and I love to work with colleagues at all levels to achieve results and solve challenges.
Review from Operations Dept
Excitement and engagement of the people I work with. I also enjoy the challenge... we have a lot to work through, and the problem-solving itself is something I love to do.
Review from Operations Dept
Company events where employees can meet new employees and continue relationships. A balanced schedule and responsibilities.
Review from Operations Dept
The struggle is with people who are unwilling to have a growth mindset, unwilling to change things for better because it may be difficult. Also contributing would be understaffed and overworked. Less people but the amount of work is only growing.
Review from Operations Dept
In a roll that is not fitting to my experience and skills. Feel a bit pigeonholed from the past restructure.
Review from Operations Dept
Pandemic burnout , carrying the stress with franchisee and the unknown feeling about job in future weighs on my mind.

The commute is very long to downtown Rockville, regardless of driving or taking public transportation. The traffic patterns in this region is bad and getting worst with the development in the Metro area.
