Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

I love working at Lamar. I have found success and reward in working hard and challenging myself. I do feel as though there is a lack of opportunity for those on the plant level (vs Corporate). I hope t stay at Lamar for my career, but they are falling behind in benefits vs work vs pay comparably.

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

I love what I have found with Lamar thus far. It is difficult to move up unless you physically move, though. Nice balance overall. Experience varies location to location.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They are very transparent with all employees.

What makes you most happy at work?

Exceeding expectations. And getting paid.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Pay off sales not collections. Paying on collections is not normal

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They all seem focused and always appear to be developing Lamar both internally & externally.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

I like that they are actively making changes and are transparent about relaying those changes to the workforce.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The team members I work closely with are always willing to help each other out, cover, or quickly provide assistance when needed.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Personally, I like that I feel comfortable enough and connected to each member individually. We work as a team, individuals, or a combination.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Big business benefits but small business benefits as well (each plant treated like it's own company but with the resources of a large corporation).

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Every plant has the touches of a more intimate, small-business environment but with the resources of a larger corporation. The green initiatives means a lot to me personally as well.

What are some of the best things about your team?

We often go to lunch together and it’s helped strengthen us as a team to have that time to bond being out of the office/ off the clock. I enjoy sp

What are some of the best things about your team?

Everyone is always willing to help one another. I find good support when I have an issue or questions. A lot of cross-training which helps ease the burden when someone is OOO long or short-term.

What makes you most happy at work?

What makes me the most happy at Lamar is working hard on a big or difficult project, with various other members of the team, and seeing that come to fruition. I enjoy working hard and being challenged.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Clear division of labor. Holding certain staffer accountable for their portion of the work. Fair pay for those who are essentially forced to go above and beyond. A yearly performance review would also be helpful. We don’t get feedback often, especially non sales-relate

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

There is little to no flexibility on a corporate-level schedule-wise. No hybrid/WFH options. Exceptions are made for some but not others. Our PTO program is awful with exceptionally low allowances PLUS seniority benefits not realized on anniversary dates (I have to wait an extra year basically).

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Division of labor is not consistent plant-to-plant but the salary ranges for most positions are about the same. I felt like my manager expected me to wear a lot of hats & take on a lot of responsibility compared to what my title & pay are. I think better benefits (PTO,flex holidays) would be helpful
