I hired into Lamar when I moved here from another state, thinking once here, I'd then go look for the best job available for me. Who knew? Lamar is the best place for me! So I never went looking for another job. I am very happy about that and I hope to continue at Lamar for a long time.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Integrity and Transparency creates trust. I trust our leadership team to not only do what's best for Lamar but in the process of managing the company they consider the people who have to work and deliver. I feel that trust is rare these days in the work force.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The balance of salary, bonus, retirement options and health benefit options. Certainly, I always would appreciate more, but I am pleased with where the level of support is. Healthcare is still quite expensive, I wish that could be less but I understand the balance required. I appreciate what Ihave
What are some of the best things about your team?
Team cares. It cares about positive and quality outcomes but also works well together on the journey to the outcome. Team is able to communicate as needed to provide quality outcomes and does it best to stay positive. We all genuinely like working together. No one person puts themselves above all
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
It feels very inclusive and empathetic. We all work hard but if adversity occurs at work or personally, we all supporting of that person to positive deal with the adversity. Also, when good things occur, everyone is happy about that. While I am not close with anyone, I feel I am family with all.
What makes you most happy at work?
That I have another day of work at Lamar. I appreciate the culture and work done day to day. I feel blessed to be working at such a quality company as Lamar. Over my long career in IT, I have worked at companies where it was not a good place to work. That only makes me appreciate Lamar more.
