Meltwater – Ten years in, and still the most interesting job I've had. Wrapidity became a platform, the platform became an AI-native org, and I've had the scope to build through every turn. Great people, real problems, a CTO who still ships code. I'd choose it again. | Comparably

Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

Cross-team debugging happens in the open and without ceremony. Someone from another org will look at your slow query, spot the one parameter causing it, and you're fixed in ten minutes; no ticket, no escalation, no nonsense about whose service it is. Same with incidents, no blame, just help.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The flexibility. Supporting continued academic roles at Oxford or Calabria alongside an EM or SVP role isn't something most companies would wear ?

What do you like best about the leadership team?

They build. Aditya wired up an MCP over a weekend and turned Claude loose on our own account — 975 searches, 120 dead, cleaned in minutes. Chris: "That's an agent. Don't overcompli

What makes you most happy at work?

The builder days. Opening a blank repo, wiring up an agent over a weekend, watching it land in someone's production flow weeks later. That — plus a director I hired pushing back on my own roadmap wi

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The permission to build. The CTO still opens a terminal, directors push back on bad calls, and weekend hacks become shared infra within weeks. AI adoption spreads through the ai-guild because people want each other to win ?

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Meltwater's leadership team is incredibly hands-on and innovation focused. I personally observe them being actively involved in testing new features, caring even about seemingly small details, yet also having a great understanding of where the industry needs to go to.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The overall package is well-rounded rather than just base salary, but the best benefit by far is a lot of flexibility on when and where to work. That's both a great financial, but more importantly a quality of life benefit.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The company still moves quickly and is willing to change direction when something isn't working, rather than defending decisions for their own sake. That creates real opportunity to shape things if you're willing to pick something up and run with it.

What did you like most about the interview process?

The pair programming round. Not a gotcha — we actually built something together on real infrastructure, and the engineer across the table pushed back twice on my approach, better answer each time. I walked out knowing exactly who I'd be working with,

What are some of the best things about your team?

One week someone's holding a 99.5% SLO across billions of docs, another's turning a weekend hack into a Claude Code marketplace, another's walking the CTO through Mira agent-core. Directors who lead without ego, a live ai-guild channel, and nobody flinches when the work gets hard

What makes you most happy at work?

Getting to work on genuinely difficult technical problems at real scale, with enough autonomy to choose the approach. The satisfaction of watching something you designed hold up under load, and of seeing the people around you grow into harder work than they thought they could do.

What are some of the best things about your team?

My team is an amazing group of people, with top of the line skills in technology, AI, innovation, creativity and many other fields. Above and beyond that we are a very diverse team with people in many countries in the world, managed well to prevent timezone differences to become a drag on everyone.
