I am a Team Lead for the cashiers at my panera and almost every shift I am basically a mini manager handling all the aspects of customer service and making sure the store is ready for the shift transition. I work too hard when my job is technically only as barista and I don't get compensated enough.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I simply would want to get paid for how much work I put in. Seeing new hires get paid the same as me or more is disheartening. I believe new hires should get paid more than most starting salaries at panera but not more than someone like me who's already proven their worth to the store.
