The people I work with are delightful, caring, and understanding. But I've grown disheartened by the state of the work place, everyones worked to the bone and on the brink of breaking and it seems as if corporate is willing to over look our struggle to try and maintain some semblance of normality.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is always eager to help to the best of their abilities. Ready to lend a hand when they can as they see I'm doing my best to keep my team afloat in a sea of chaos.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They understand that life just Happens. When I've hit a rut they know they things are out of my control and do what they can to make sure I take care at my self... often at the expense of themselves.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Panera has promised my GM a surplus of raise money to compensate those who remained in work during the pandemic and it has been pushed back for a month now, with no sign of additional information. With the national supply and staff shortage it has been absolute HELL trying to maintain Panera warmth.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
An adjustment of Store hours could be extremely helpful to ease some of the pressure off of the team as many have taken weekends off of their availability out of stress. Even allowing the store to be closed one day a week could allow us to catch up and reset for the week... I'm begging you, help us.
