Goals and metrics are very subjective. Promotions seem to be based on popularity not proven work or tenure.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
There is little structure (which can be a good or bad thing depending on your personality and work habits) but if you are a dedicated professional you do have a lot of creative liberties that harvest growth and new ideas.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Having fair set 401K match so if I want to stay long-term and continue to build my career here, I can feel secure about my financial health. In addition, there should be more opportunities for performance incentives for the CS department.
