What do you like best about the leadership team?
The execs are very transparent and focus on long term growth. They have a broad understanding of the real estate market dynamics, and they think outside the box on the best ways to grow the company and acquire more market share for the product suite.

Our young leadership team is less "corrupted" by useless, bureaucratic practices found other organizations. Leadership moves with "first principles," avoiding "copy-cat" behavior.

Communication with first line and skip level manager is regular and predictable with quick feedback and open lines of communication. Aside from regular 1:1s, there are also regularly scheduled meetings from higher level leadership to inform employees of company direction and mission.

What is the best part about your compensation package?
Salaries are competitive for the size of the company, and equity packages are reasonable as well given the company's long term potential.

Always willing to take the time to help. Kind. Generally cheerful. Don't mind me being slightly silly.

Qualia is selective in its engineer hiring practices which means I am constantly learning from highly competent peers. I also have a support network when facing tough engineering challenges. Although the engineer headcount is high, we are spread into small teams which makes daily work easier.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The company promotes from within to leadership roles. The company ignores politics and fairly evaluates performance when deciding on promotions. The company is focused on long term product wins instead of short term hype waves, and spends its money wisely to avoid unnecessary dilution.

Professionalism and general caution to make sure the customers aren't inconvenienced means that it's okay to take time to do things well.

The engineers enjoy being engineers. We are encouraged to explore ideas. The engineering team is viewed as a driver of growth rather than a cost center. Catered lunches and numerous social events during work hours make for a friendly, professional culture.

In the engineering interviews, we give candidates "fun" challenges. Even if we don't hire someone, our goal is to leave a positive impression.

The engineering interview process was challenging, but realistic. There were no academic exercises and all coding exercises were free of trivia. I felt that I was being assessed on my real-world skills rather than my ability to cram an algorithms textbook.
