Being supportive of their employees and fostering a culture of respect and creativity. Not promoting or tolerating managers who are dismissive of their subordinates

I have been discriminated against for not graduating from an Ivy League school, but a state school. Was told even tho I’m worth more spacex won’t pay me more because our director dosent like my college.

Planing and some Program management will go a long way. Haste is waste. Ask for help rather than expect it.

Again they don’t want to see issues, or will ignore glaring problems that will blow up a rocket.

Create a less hostile workplace by promoting properly. Being strict doesn't make you a good manager. Understanding needs and flowing down to the team does.

Collaboration and respect between colleagues

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Rockets are cool. So is free coffee and Froyo...but that's about it. The culture would benefit greatly from some better planning on projects. I know the pace is fast, but get it right the first time. It's a shame to see others work late nights just to cut corners.

What did you like most about the interview process?
multi panel interview and presentation. This is great so you know that you and your colleagues are at a mental level and you don't end up in a position with colleagues not at your experience level.
