Miserable. The company claims to care about its workers but gives us no staff or hours while making record sales. They expect you to do the job of 3 people while keeping a smile on your face and waiting on customers hand and foot.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We really support each other. If you have an emergency my team gets it and doesnt hold it against you. We kind of have to since corporate is constantly throwing us under the bus.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My manager is pretty good at working with the staff despite the cuts corporate makes to hours. Leadership itself does not effectively communicate changes to store procedures/ is effectively useless if you have a problem.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
When i first started we were making 3$ above the minimum wage in new york. Now you can go anywhere in ny to make 15-16$ an hour so theres nothing special about starbucks. What would make me feel better about my compensation? Getting paid more, obviously.
