What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Ever since the pandemic started, management has stopped listening to us completely. They try to make us happy with tiny things here and there but overall it has been going down hill.

Leadership at store level try very hard to maintain a positive environment, but it is hard when corporate expects the world from low-wage hourly workers while continuously cutting labor and expecting no shortfalls.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Steady schedule and higher wages so it is a living wage.

Turnover improvement may not be an imperative task driving the company to do right by their employees, but it's the priority that's keeping employees from trusting their corporate superiors. The disconnect is palpable from both an employee and a customer perspective.

I don't make a living wage. While it's nice that they give us stocks, and we have free Headspace and Spotify, I have to work a second part-time job on top of being full time at Starbucks, and live off of food that's being thrown away in order to make ends meet.

Everyone is free to be themselves. Our store is incredible. Everyone treats one another with dignity and respect. We all have fun and enjoy working together. Great to see our customers love us too :) Our manager is the best!!!! Needs to be promoted!

My store in particular is generally understaffed for the sheer amount of business we do. It makes running a shift comfortably incredibly difficult. Because of this we've been having trouble maintaining a positive environment. When we're staffed appropriately everyone is much more comfortable.

My interview was pretty different from other interviews that I had done for other entry level positions. My manager was actually really willing to talk honestly to me, and was willing to listen to what I had to say.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Employees are not paid appropriately. Raises are not granted based on tenure or experience. Our workload, standards and expectations are constantly increasing but no added incentive for employees in terms of wage increases or bonuses. Customers are aloud and encouraged to mistreat employees.

After Schultz stepped down, employees were not communicated to from corporate any more and marketing tactics became schemes fishing for more business without allowing proper labor hours to complete business tasks. One the side of social politics, they are a reactive company instead of proactive.
