I love the fact that they are returning to basics and know that the barista's are the backbone of the entire company.
I think one of the best parts is starbucks is putting their tax break back into the employees. They truly see us, know that we are the backbone of the company.
The direction it is going is really positive. Becoming aware of some of the issues that plague this fast paced technological world and taking steps to ensure that we can still make human connections is one of the positive parts of Starbucks.
It makes me happy when I know I am supported by the company itself and my coworkers. My manager is great and listens to our ideas. The company has been great offering incentives and challenges that we as a team have been plunging through and trying hard to meet.
Compared to other stores that I have worked at my stores leadership team is truly amazing. The best part of my team is the communication that we all have. My store manager is not just a manager, Mike is a great person who listens to our ideas, and rewards us when we meet expectations.
We have a really great team, we all work well together and when there is an issue we work to fix it. Communication is a tool we definitely use. When the great plague came, (back to school season) and it took out 5 baristas in a week, the rest of us took extra shifts and kept the store going.
