Not much. Baristas, shifts, and often times managers hands are tied. This is a higher up issue, as they often have never worked in a store before. Or they just don't care.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

They demand more and more but are given less and less people to do it without any kind of adequate raise. Then we get into trouble when we inevitably hit overtime. Pay us for the work we do.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Get rid of the 'just say yes' policy. It's creating a customer base that we don't want to help. Stop rewarding bad customer behavior. Don't just look at the crunch numbers. Listen to us and take our concerns and complaints into account when making decisions.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

Understanding that night crew can NOT properly serve customers, clean the entire store, and clean up after earlier shifts with a skeleton crew and still expect to get out on time. Also, why am I only getting part-time benefits when I'm working full-time hours more often than not?

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

Let closers have more people, have mid go back to start on cleaning again to help us out. Get rid of the 'just say yes' policy. Stop rewarding bad customer behavior. Listen to your partners concerns and complaints, actually take them into account! We work the stores, we know how things are running!
