What do you like best about the leadership team?
Stop & Shop has the best culture of any company I have worked for. I do truly believe this is a cascade effect from the top down, where leaders don't just prioritize financial results, but also prioritize building a collaborative and inclusive culture. Humor is also a value--which says a lot.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Better work life balance. Forcing employees to return to the office 3 days a week with only a month's notice is unrealistic. Employees have been able to successfully work from home for 3 years & there is no need for a mandatory 3 day office presence. The cost/time it takes to commute is not worth it

What is the best part about your compensation package?

The best part is the yearly bonus that has paid out really well in the last couple of years.

The best part about my package is the bonus structure. I have not had this at all of my roles and it is a nice incentive.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Wage do not compete with cost of living. If compensation was better I could save for the future and not live paycheck to paycheck.

The yearly pay increase of 3% does not even match the rate of inflation. The salaries S&S pays are at the very low end of the market rate. This needs to change as the cost of living is increasing rapidly. Not to mention the mandatory return to office 3 days a week will increase commuter costs.

What are some of the best things about your team?
The work we do is meaningful. Our team is supportive of each other and we have a terrific manager.

People don't take themselves too seriously so we are able to be ourselves and have fun while working hard.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Increased pay. No mandatory in office as this is extremely costly and time consuming to commute and prepare to spend your days sitting at a desk. Half our meetings are still taken on teams in office anyways, it would be better to have more flexibility and be able to work from home as we please.
