What do you like best about the leadership team?
How well everyone is kept in the loop and included in all communication. They're very inclusive and always try to make sales associates and customers feel welcomed and in a safe space.

Put schedules out on time, not talk about employees to other employees, not lie to the district manager about employees, overall toxic environment

What is the best part about your compensation package?
The discounts are nice, if I was full time the benefits would be awesome but unfortunately since I'm part time I do not receive any of them besides the half off discount.

Getting paid fairly, getting fair hours

I think being paid minimum for a job that can be very stressful is unfair. Also, considering the amount the company makes, I would think it would be able to pay its employees higher than minimum wage, especially if employees have been working there for a while.

What are some of the best things about your team?
My coworkers are a great group of bunch that try to keep the store quality great and giving the customers their best, but some team members with a higher position or given a higher position seem to change mentally and morally after they do which I'll call a power trip but other than that its family.

Our team is very diverse, upbeat and really works well as a team. Everyone has each others back and it really makes coming to work that much more enjoyable. I have met some of my best friends from working at vans and it makes for the ideal work environment.

Positive in that the atmosphere and customers are great, and flexible scheduling.

The culture is very apparent as soon as you walk in the door. No one is left out and there's always a challenge to meet when we come into work. We're pretty competitive but it's truly just a friendly competition type of flow. Everyone helps each other grow and wants the best for one another.

Being around my coworkers and the customers that come into our store. We strive to make personal connections with our customers and try not to be fake salesmen. Personal connection is something that makes work enjoyable because you can truly be yourself.
