Learning new skills being challenged and working with talented individuals and teams
Very positive, there are opportunities for career changes, the jobs are often fulfilling and challenging, which is what I look for in a role. There is a sense of community and, with positive ambition you can grow and continue to develop skills and be recognised.
Community spirit, helping and supporting each other
Open about strategy, caring with employees
Health insurance, RE-Cares days, holiday buy
Sharing the knowledge, supporting each other
New learning opportunities and wellness culture
Openness about the company strategies and impact on employees
Attention to the employees while still pursuing business objectives
Interaction with authors/editors and learning something new most days
Healthcare policy, mental health initiatives, community involvement and volunteering activities
A sense of purpose and how I love my role
Helping each other, sharing the knowledge, being kind to one another
We share the workload and are always there for one another
Interactions with authors and editors, as well as new challenges and learning opportunities
They recognise how important each of our contribution is to the success of the business
Sense of fulfillment, I am in the position to achieve many goals and that gives me a positive boost
We support each other, always ready to help one another, not just work-wise, but also taking care of our wellbeing
sharing information and the strategy. However there are too many choices which compromise retaining talents (outsourcing, investing in eastern countries to cut costs)
Elsevier is a great place to work, but there are publishers paying better, so sometimes I feel like the company is not doing everything they can to retain talents. I am not thinking of leaving, since I find my job fulfilling, but I do not exclude to try in the future.
