I truly enjoy the work I do, the people with whom I work (both internally and externally), the supportive culture, and the company's social activism. It helps counterbalance some of the downsides of the company (too many mtgs, competition among BUs often stall progress, lower pay than competitors).

They seem to genuinely care about work-life balance for all employees. The support and flexibility provided to Elsevier employees during the pandemic is a perfect example of this.

While I do believe I'm paid fairly, I'm definitely on the low end with regard to industry standards. The lack of consistency with job titles, set pay ranges for specific jobs, and a clear path to move forward is frustrating.
