For the most part, the team is composed of smart folks who are very engaged.
I'm on my wife's health insurance, so really the base compensation is most of what I see. I know there are some other perks, but I don't really know what's out there and the ones that I know about either aren't interesting or are not applicable.
I like that everyone seems to be invested in the mission of creating a great product and growing the hobby. There is a casual sense of fun around a lot of what we do and I think that's important. It would be hard to be excited about trading cards in an organization that goes "full corporate."
We have a relatively big team working on a relatively small problem. While there is plenty of work that theoretically needs to be done, it's not clear what would really move the needle and it's hard to avoid stepping on other's toes. I try to find work to stay busy, but it's hard to stay engaged.
