Unfortunately, so much of compensation has been provided via options/stock. Very limited and infrequent opportunities to liquidate, no value without liquidation. If working for a public company this would be available annually as vested; a big miss for my level and compensation range.

The culture is toxic and negative....give employees opportunities to grow and learn. Trust them to do their jobs and they will feel valued and rewarded. there is a lot of backbiting with leadership. My boss does not have my back. He tells me to do one thing and then goes behind my back.

Don't just TALK about being here for the people. Actions speak much louder than mere words. Free lunch and happy hours are great...but not so much when the environment is toxic. Managers don't know how to TALK to people...being condescending and obnoxious doesn't get you anywhere.

The systems used in the company are very very behind in terms of where they should be for the company's growth. Every thing is manual, and every thing has be to manipulated in Excel to get accurate. The systems are the main driver of my negative view.

This comes from the top down. There is a culture of chaos. There is zero mentorship and really no one you can turn to. You would hope that your manager would be able to provide guidance and help when it's needed, but when your manager has no idea what you do on a daily basis.
