My current team doesn't have single clunker or low performer on it. That's rare, in my experience.

It's a low-drag environment. Not too many meetings, not too many procedures, not much micromanaging. Management communicates clear goals and trusts me to accomplish them.

When they added ongoing training reimbursement ($3000/yr) to the package a few years ago. It showed a commitment to developing employee skills, and I greatly appreciated it.

They are genuinely decent human beings! I have regular interactions with the C-suite, and I'm continually struck by how much they are not like the execs at other companies I have worked at.

It's a team of about 17 or so techs across all sites, and every single one of them is both a good tech and an easy-to-get-along-with coworker. That's incredibly rare, and a testament to my leadership's ability to hire and retain good employees. Very low turnover, too - also rare.

In my org - general lack of BS and wasting time on dumb internal politics. We have jobs to do, we get the support we need to do them, and we do them. Very straightforward. I have a level of trust with my coworkers and managers that I've seldom experienced at other companies.

I interact with the C-staff on a regular basis, and they have always treated me with respect and dignity (which has not always been the case at other companies where I have done exec support). The tone is set from the top (by the CEO) and it filters down through the whole company, and it shows.
