symplr was the very best place I've worked until the summer of 2021; since then, about a third of my teammates have left or taken new roles in other departments. The work is no longer enjoyable and the leadership is making our teammates miserable.

symplr has ambitions to be a billion dollar company, and with that comes egos of billion dollar companies. The problem is - we're not there yet. Humility is lacking. Empathy is lacking. Leadership is lacking. I'm sad that its turned out this way because it used to be fun.

Change is really hard, and this company has changed tremendously over the last few years. I don't think they've handled it well. I don't think they've hired inspiring leaders. And they lost the best one they had because she left to run another company. It's just a bit depressing.

Retain good people. Set realistic goals. Realize sales won't hit numbers when there are significant shifts in the org every few weeks.

Coaching your managers. Hearing, "That makes me look terrible," isn't leadership. Instilling fear in employees makes logging on to work each day terrible.

It probably depends on the team, but I'd say managers need better leadership training, or they need to be vetted better before hiring.

I wish I could pinpoint exactly what's going on, but... I can't. I'd say its a combo of ill equipped managers, lack of accountability for their behavior, and extremely challenging goals that raise stress levels.

I make $25,000 less than someone who has been at the company less time and with a lower title. I've been a leader on our team and continue to serve as a main resource for so many.

I wish I could say. Basically nothing seems great here right now. Management doesn't seem to care about the employees very much... or at least not in a meaningful way. Only in a superficial way. It's pretty competitive in a negative way. There's a lack of teamwork.

Better pay would certainly go a long way in making me feel valued. Right now, I know I am making the same amount as someone more junior than me who has been at the company for less than a year. They ought to consider salaries of existing employees and ensure they fit the current market.
