I've learned a ton, progressed in my career, and met amazing people! Elsevier still suffers from all the aliments of large corporations (politics, can be slow moving) but there is a willingness to change.

Good PTO allotment. 401K match used to be exceptional, now it's just good.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The current leadership seems to be the most human we've ever had--it's a nice change!
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Pretty good work-life balance (it's still not great, but I think it's pretty good comparted to other similar sized companies)
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
There is simply too much work and the politics and sheer size of the company can be frustrating--it seems overly complicated to get things done sometimes.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Our 401K match is nice, though it has decreased since I began. Our health benefits are mediocre, but I guess this might be the case for all companies since the US healthcare system is so ridiculous!
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
We are penalized for working hard to move up within Elsevier because our salary is always in relation to the level at which we came into the company. This results in people with less responsibility who came from outside the company earning more than someone who has worked hard to advance internally.
