Briefly describe your overall experience at your company

I have been at Elsevier for over 12 years and it has had good years and bad years. They handled the pandemic well with providing us resources for our mental health and they have always given us a good work/life balance. Also, I love the parental leave benefit.

They make sure to communicate often with employees.

What makes you most happy at work?

Getting to go to conferences and actually meeting the customers.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The benefits are getting better for family leave, but health insurance seems to be getting worse.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I have been at Elsevier for over 12 years, but if I left to do the same job at another company, I would be making 20% more at least.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

I would love for my coworkers to have more historical knowledge, but since we keep laying off people who have been at Elsevier for a long time our knowledge is dwindling and mistakes are being made that could have been prevented.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I know that if I left, I would be making at least 20% more and I have talked to ex-coworkers on how much they make and they all make way more, so I don't see how Elsevier is competitive in salary.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

It is hard to get a promotion when there is not a job available. I have been getting 2's on my OKRs for the past 3 years, but I am still at the same level and unsure of how I will get promoted. The VP has ensured me I am up for the next promotion, but I have no timeline of when that would be.
