I think there are many individuals that would want to trade places with me and have an opportunity to work at Fanatics. The issue is that Management knows that and treats most employees like they are replaceable. It would be nice to feel valued - instead of looked at like worker bees.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
For our industry and department, the compensation is way below the industry. Offers from similar companies have been 20K+ per year. I think that it is very apparent that the money budgeted for compensation goes to upper level management.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
When it comes to employee interaction and doing whats best for individual employees they rank a 5-6. When it comes to business and making deals 8-9, so i would say that is what they do best, business - not people.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I do not feel that employees are valued. Ideas are often not heard if they do not exactly fall into upper managements mindset. There is no explanation as to why ideas are taken into consideration just that we need to follow the path.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My direct team is great and we have clear expectations of each other. We have a team mindset and work to help each other. My department - not so much. Our culture is competitive and untrustworthy as our department leads play favorites and are not transparent.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I dont really think our culture is that positive and if I HAVE to name 1 thing it would be that we all enjoy that we work in the sports industry, however if it was not a dream for most of us to work in sports - we wouldnt be here.
