Overall, I do love what I do and the people I work with. I'm not sure I could make a long career of a job without raises but I would like to stay within the company. Getting out of the hellhole we work in and into another office would be appealing, of course.
Briefly describe your overall experience at your company
As a whole, I love Fanatics. I've worked on more than one team so I know the values and ethics of other teams do line up with company values. Where I am now absolutely does not. I have liked working on other teams but I am not currently valued at Fanatics.
What makes you most happy at work?
The people. It's certainly not the building, workspace or environment here at CW.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
High level leadership does a great job keeping people excited about our brand and our vision.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our team is of diverse opinion and thought (although very homogenous physically) and I enjoy getting to know them all more and more as we work together.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
They seem very people focused and thoughtful. I would say the distinct exception is a lack of care for the safety, well-being, quality of environment and workplace morale at the CW facility.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The people on our team are hardworking and talented. We don't get much support from corporate to make the workplace nice but we've managed to create a collaborative and fun environment that considers people's needs and can be flexible.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Our direct leadership is present and involved and I appreciate that. Although I don't love having to paint the building myself or order drinking water for my team each week, my boss fully supports us doing what we have to in order to try to make the workplace decent enough for our employees.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I am compensated below what others on similar/same team with similar/same titles are - about 25-30% lower. I brought this to my manager and asked that it be adjusted and was told not to compare myself to others. Not bad advice, so I went to market and found I am actually 50-65% undercompensated.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I haven't had a raise in a couple years and the last one I had was rather pitiful - it was comparable to what I was instructed to give to my underperformers but I was told I wasn't underperforming at all, just that there wasn't budget for a fair raise for my level of work.
